Lada – A Cultural-Historical Portal to the Past

I believe in places of power – though it’s a deeply personal experience. For some, their place of strength is at their grandmother’s village, for others it’s by the sea, and some even recharge on Khreshchatyk (one of the busiest streets in Kyiv*). Not everyone needs a “prayed-over” site to feel something special.

Ternoshorа Lada was recognized as a place of power by our ancestors. It is up to each individual whether this place resonates with them today. For me, a place of power is a point of heightened energy – where the Earth and its vibrations can strengthen you. If a person is at a certain level of development and open to receiving those vibrations, the place can amplify and energize. But it’s important not to treat such places as magical pills or shift responsibility for your life onto them.

It’s important to remember the principle of resonance: what already exists within you – both light and shadow – is amplified. If someone arrives in a state of confusion or anger, the experience may worsen. But if there’s grace and faith, the place can feel incredibly uplifting, and wishes may come true – because the person has felt something profound, believed in it, and gained confidence that the Universe supports them and their intention.

That’s why I believe in the “ecology” of visiting places of power – coming with pure intentions and clear thoughts. Otherwise, one may receive a negative resonance and spend a long time untangling its effects.

It’s also important to understand that places of power inevitably trigger transformation, because transformation cannot occur where energy is stagnant. When someone leads a passive life, resists growth, or clings to limiting beliefs, energy stagnates. When such a person comes to Lada, the place will sharply illuminate what’s truly happening in their life. And that can be uncomfortabl – even painful.

Not everyone can live near places of power. Their energies are intense and can provoke rapid transformation – and not everyone is ready for that. Rapid changes tend to be more challenging.

Just imagine how vital this temple once was to the lives of our ancestors. Women came here to ask for the gift of children. Wise elders observed the passage of time, counted days and years. Through seasonal celebrations, our forebears lived their natural calendar here – together with Lada. To them, she was a mother who accompanied her children through life. She gathered the human family around her, upheld their way of living, and protected their values.

Lada is a multidimensional presence – a symbol of kinship, mythology, wonder, cultural heritage, and spirituality.

Of course, some functions that Ternoshorа Lada once served are no longer relevant today. For example, its role as a calendar or timekeeper has been replaced by modern tools. Its mythological significance now belongs to the realm of history – a history that, as we know, has been rewritten many times. When legends were passed down orally, from generation to generation, they held sacred meaning. Today, these preserved myths and legends have taken on new roles, closer to therapeutic folklore and the exploration of ancestral worldviews.

For me personally, Ternoshorа Lada represents deep respect for the history and culture of our nation. It speaks to the greatness of our ancestors, who – together with nature – created a temple of profound meaning.

Lada is a cultural-historical portal to the past, revealing the high spiritual level at which our forebears once lived.
